Unforgiven 3 lyrics

How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever?
Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure

Was he the one causing pain
With his careless dreaming?
Been afraid
Always afraid
Of the things he's feeling
He could just be gone

He would just sail on
He'll just sail on

How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Searched the seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
How can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?

These days drift on inside a fog
It's thick and suffocating
This seeking life outside its hell
Inside intoxicating
He's run aground
Like his life
Water's much too shallow
Slipping fast
Down with the ship
Fading in the shadows now
A castaway

They've
All gone
Away

They've gone away

How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
And how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?

Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me not
Forgive me
Forgive me, why can't I forgive me?

Set sail to sea but pulled off course
By the light of golden treasure
How could he know this new dawn's light
Would change his life forever

How can I be lost
If I've got nowhere to go?
Search for seas of gold
How come it's got so cold?
How can I be lost
In remembrance I relive
So how can I blame you
When it's me I can't forgive?

Angry Again analysis

Another band that is grossly overlooked in the lyrical department is the band Megadeth. Usually associated with thrash metal and usually ignored as artistic due to its almost comically heavy name, lyricist Dave Mustaine makes a valiant effort to make sure that strong lyric have a place in heavy metal. The song "Angry Again" is about the singer sliding back into being enraged again. The verse "The more of you that I inspect The more of me I see reflect The more I try to read your lips The more the mask you're wearing rips" gives you the image of a mask on someone's face ripping and in actuality the metaphorical mask they are wearing coming off and their true colors being shown. The chorus line goes as follows "Engaged in crime I grasp my throat, enraged my mind starts to smoke, enforced a mental overload, angry again angry again angry ow" These lines uses imagery to appeal to the senses and make you see and picture what he says he is doing.

Limelight imagery analysis

The song "limelight" is one of the Canadian band Rush's most famous and popular song. The song is sung about the struggles of life in the context of life being a theatrical production in the style of Jaques from the Shakespeare play, "As You Like It". The band Rush is not famous for being especially lyrically stong although they actuallky are. Lyricist Neil Peart uses a variety of poetic devices to paint a picture with words throughout the Rush catalogue. This song is no exception with its use of imagery to adhere to the senses and allow the listener to delve into the song.Examples of this are as such in the line "In touch with some reality beyond the gilded cage." The word gilded usually refers to being gilded with a small amount of gold in order to give the appearance of the product actually being gold. This illustrates in your mind the sight of a gilded cage which may at first seem enticing but after further inspection you will realize the cage (being captive to a set way) is not all that it is supposed to be. Another line is "living in a fisheye lens, caught in the camera eye, I have no heart to lie" This appeals once again to the sense of sight and allows you to see in your mind being seen through a "fisheye lens" or a camera.

angry again by megadeth

Angry Again lyrics
The more of you that I inspect, The more of me I see reflect,
The more I try to read your lips, The more the mask you're wearing rips.
But when I seek out your voice, My ears are overcome with noise,
You show and tell with greatest ease, Raving impossibilities.
Engaged in crime I grasp my throat, Enraged my mind starts to smoke.
Enforce a mental overload,
Angry again, angry again, angry ow!
And when the story takes a twist, It folds like a contortionist.
Sleight of hand and quick exchange, The old tricks have been rearranged.
Engaged in crime I grasp my throat, Enraged my mind starts to smoke.
Enforce a mental overload,
Angry again, angry again, angry.
The searing of the sinew, My body fights for air.
The ripping of the tissue, My lungs begin to tear.
Gravity's got my bones, It pulls my flesh away.
The steam finally dissipates, I make out my sweaty face.
Association that I choose, Game I inevitably lose.
Governed by laws set up by me, Fracture it's jaw to let me be.
A cut-out cardboard condomaze, Filled with an insubordinate race.
Irrational youths stop to stare, As music rubber hosed the air.
Engaged in crime I grasp my throat, Enraged my mind starts to smoke.
Enforce a mental overload,
Angry again, angry again, angry again,
And again and again, again.
Engaged in crime I grasp my throat, Enraged my mind starts to smoke.
Enforce a mental overload,
Angry again, angry again, angry ow!

limelight lyrics

Limelight lyrics
Living on a lighted stage
Approaches the unreal
For those who think and feel
In touch with some reality
Beyond the gilded cage
Cast in this unlikely role
Ill-equipped to act
With insufficient tact
One must put up barriers
To keep oneself intact
[Chorus:]Living in the limelight
The universal dream
For those who wish to seem
Those who wish to be
Must put aside the alienation
Get on with the fascination
The real relation
The underlying theme
Living in a fish eye lens
Caught in the camera eye
I have no heart to lie
I can't pretend a stranger
Is a long-awaited friend
All the world's indeed a stage
And we are merely players
Performers and portrayers
Each another's audience
Outside the gilded cage[Chorus]

Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Rime Of The Ancient Mariner[Harris]

Hear the rime of the Ancient Mariner
See his eye as he stops one of three
Mesmerises one of the wedding guests
Stay here and listen to the nightmares
of the SeaAnd the music plays on, as the bride passes by
Caught by his spell and
the Mariner tells his tale.
Driven south to the land of the snow and ice
To a place where nobody's been
Through the snow fog flies on the albatross
Hailed in God's name, hoping good luck it brings.
And the ship sails on, back to the North
Through the fog and ice andthe albatross follows on
The mariner kills the bird of good omen
His shipmates cry against what he's done
But when the fog clears, they justify him
And make themselves a part of the crime.
Sailing on and on and North across the sea
Sailing on and on and North 'till all is calm
The albatross begins with its vengeance
A terrible curse a thirst has begun
His shipmates blame bad luck on the Mariner
About his neck, the dead bird is hung.
And the curse goes on and on and on at sea
And the thirst goes on and on for them and me
"Day after day, day after day,we stuck nor breath nor motion
As idle as a painted ship upon a painted ocean
Water, water everywhere and
all the boards did shrinkWater, water everywhere nor any drop to drink."
[SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE (1772-1834)]
There, calls the marinerthere comes a ship over the line
But how can she sail with no windin her sails and no tide.
See... onward she comes
Onwards she nears, out of the sun
See... she has no crew
She has no life, wait but there's two
Death and she Life in Death, they throw their dice for the crew
She wins the Mariner and he belongs to her now.
Then ... crew one by one
They drop down dead, two hundred men
She... She, Life in Death.
She lets him live, her chosen one.
[NARRATIVE]"One after one by the star dogged moon,
too quick for groan or sigh
Each turned his face with a ghastly pangand cursed me with his eye
Four times fifty living men(and I heard nor sigh nor groan),
With heavy thump, a lifeless lump,
they dropped down one by one."
[SAMUEL TAYLOR COLERIDGE (1772-1834)]
The curse it lives on in their eyes
The Mariner he wished he'd die
Along with the sea creatures
But they lived on, so did he.
And by the light of the moon
He prays for their beauty not doom
With heart he blesses them
God's creatures all of them too.
Then the spell starts to break
The albatross falls from his neck
Sinks down like lead into the Sea
Then down in falls comes the rain.
Hear the groans of the long dead seamen
See them stir and they start to rise
Bodies lifted by good spirits
None of them speakand they're lifeless in their eyes
And revenge is still sought, penance starts again
Cast into a trance and the nightmare carries on.
Now the curse is finally lifted
And the Mariner sights his home
Spirits go from the long dead bodies
Form their own light and
the Mariner's left alone
And then a boat came sailing towards him
It was a joy he could not believe
The Pilot's boat, his son and the hermit
Penance of life will fall onto Him.
And the ship it sinks like lead into the sea
And the hermit shrives the mariner of his sins
The Mariner's bound to tell of his story
To tell his tale wherever he goes
To teach God's word by his own example
That we must love all things that God made.
And the wedding guest's a sad and wiser man
And the tale goes on and on and on.

Head Like a Hole Lyrics

God money i'll do anything for you.
God money just tell me what you want me to.
God money nail me up against the wall.
God money don't want everything he wants it all.
[Bridge:]no you can't take it
no you can't take it
no you can't take that away from me
no you can't take it
no you can't take it
no you can't take that away from me
head like a hole.black as your soul.
i'd rather die than give you control.
head like a hole.
black as your soul.
i'd rather die than give you control.
[Chorus:]bow down before the one you serve.
you're going to get what you deserve.
bow down before the one you serve.
you're going to get what you deserve.
God money's not looking for the cure.
God money's not concerned with the sick amongst the pure.
God money let's go dancing on the backs of the bruised.
God money's not one to choose
[Bridge]
[Chorus]
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
[Chorus]
you know who you are.

Starlight analysis

This song is by the band Muse and was released on their 2006 albulm Black Holes and Revelations. The first metaphor is in the line "this ship is taking me far away, far away from the memories of the people who care if I live or die." The singer is not actually taking a ship away from his loved ones but rather is ditancing himself away from them mentally. The starlight the song is about could be interpreted many different ways I like to interpret it in that the starlight he chases is his imagination and the endless wonder and possibility that awaits to be uncovered. The struggle is in that he has to choose whether or not to pursue his dreams and accomplish what he feels is his potential or go with the girl that mystically intrigues him even though it will probably not work out. The other metaphor is in the chorus and goes as follows "our hopes and expectations black holes and revelations." This means that what he hopes for and expects are nothing but lies and revelations of how wrong he was.

Coma White analysis

The song "Coma White" is done by Marilyn Manson. The story behind the song is that it is written abour and for Manson's ex-girlfriend Rose Mcgowan. The song describes a girl who is in turmoil personally and uses drugs to deal with it. The struggle is her own ordeal in that she abuses drugs and cannot overcome her own problems. The main metaphor is in the chorus "a pill to make you numb, a pill to make you dumb, a pill to make you anybody else". The "pill" is the many drugs she uses and its many ways to make her forget about her life and the troubles she lifes with. The othe metaphor is "her mouth was an empty cut". This describes her mouth as useless and more importantly her as useless when she was high on drugs. The high took her soul away and left her useless.

"Coma White" by Marilyn Manson lyrics

Theres something cold and blank behind her smile
Shes standing on an overpass
In her miracle mile(coma):
You were from a perfect world
A world that threw me away today
Today to run away
A pill to make you numb
A pill to make you dumb
A pill to make you anybody else
But all the drugs in this world
Wont save her from herself
Her mouth was an empty cut
And she was waiting to fall
Just bleeding like a polaroid that
Lost all her dolls(coma):
You were from a perfect world
A world that threw me away today
Today to run away
A pill to make you numb
A pill to make you dumb
A pill to make you anybody else
But all the drugs in this world
Wont save her from herself

"Starlight" by Muse lyrics

Far away
This ship is taking me far away
Far away from the memories
Of the people who care if I live or die
StarlightI will be chasing the starlight
Until the end of my life
I don't know if it's worth it anymore
Hold you in my arms
I just wanted to hold
You in my arms
My life
You electrify my life
Let's conspire to re-ignite
All the souls that would die just to feel alive
But I'll never let you go
If you promised not to fade away
Never fade away
Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations
Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations
Hold you in my arms
I just wanted to hold
You in my arms
Far away
This ship is taking me far away
Far away from the memories
Of the people who care if I live or die
And I'll never let you go
If you promise not to fade away
Never fade away
Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations
Our hopes and expectations
Black holes and revelations
Hold you in my arms
I just wanted to hold
You in my arms
I just wanted to hold

rooster lyrics

Ain't found a way to kill me yet
Eyes burn with stinging sweat
Seems every path leads me to nowhere
Wife and kids household pet
Army green was no safe bet
The bullets scream to me from somewhere
Here they come to snuff the rooster
Yeah here come the rooster, yeah
You know he ain't gonna die
No, no, no, ya know he ain't gonna die
Walkin' tall machine gun man
They spit on me in my home land
Gloria sent me pictures of my boy
Got my pills 'gainst mosquito death
My buddy's breathin' his dyin' breath
Oh god please won't you help me make it through
Here they come to snuff the rooster
Yeah here come the rooster, yeah
You know he ain't gonna die
No, no, no ya know he ain't gonna die

reflection of my narrative

Highway patrolman is a narrative of a policeman who has a brother named Frank, who is "no good." While he has lived an honest life his brother is his opposite in that he lives his life constantly in trouble. The protagonist of the story still loves his brother claiming that "a man who turns his back on his family, well he just ain't no good." The main character struggles throughout his live dealing with his brother and getting him out of various troublesome predicaments that present themselves. One day Frank apparantly gets into a fight in a bar out on the Michigan state line. The main character chases after his brother on the highway but eventually they come to the canadian border where The protaganist cannot cross due to jurisdiction.

my narrative song

"Highway Patrolman" by Bruce Springsteen

My name's Joe Roberts I work for the stateI'm a sergeant out of Perrineville barracks number 8
I always done an honest job as honest as I could
I got a brother named Frankie, and Frankie ain't no good
Now ever since we was young kids it's been the same come down
I get a call on shortwave Frankie's in trouble downtown
Well if it was any other man, I'd put him straight away
But when it's your brother sometimes you look the other way
Me and Franky laughin' and drinkin'
Nothin' feels better than blood on blood
Takin' turns dancin' with Maria as the band played "Night of the Johnstown Flood"I catch him when he's strayin' like any brother would
Man turns his back on his family he just ain't no good
Well Frankie went in the army back in 1965 I got a farm deferment, settled down, took Maria for my wife
But them wheat prices kept on droppin' Till it was like we were gettin' robbed
Frankie came home in '68, and me, I took this job
Yea, me and Frankie laughin' and drinkin' Nothin' feels better than blood on blood
Takin' turns dancin' with Maria as the band played "Night of the Johnstown Flood"
I catch him when he's strayin' like any brother would
Man turns his back on his family he just ain't no good
Well the night was like any other, I got a call 'bout quarter to nine
There was trouble in a roadhouse out on the Michigan line
There was a kid lyin' on the floor lookin' bad bleedin' hard from his head Was a girl cryin' at a table and it was Frank, they said
Well I went out and I jumped in my car and I hit the lights
I must've done a hundred and ten through Michigan county that night
It was out at the crossroads, down round Willow bank
Seen a Buick with Ohio plates behind the wheel was Frank
Well I chased him through those county roads till a sign said Canadian border five miles from here
Pulled over the side of the highway And watched his tail lights disappear
Me and Frankie laughin' and drinkin'
Nothin' feels better than blood on blood
Takin' turns dancin' with Maria as the band played "Night of the Johnstown Flood"
I catch him when he's strayin' like any brother would Man turns his back on his family he just ain't no good
